Novotel Beaune

Rooms were very comfortable and clean and the location is very convenient as a stop off on the way to the French Alps. The reason I’ve given an exceptional rating is because we got a puncture just before arrival on the Saturday evening - our European breakdown cover told us we would not be able to get the tyre changed until Monday as all garages would be closed. This would mean missing a day of our skiing holiday. However Naomi on reception came to our rescue on Sunday morning. We googled every garage within driving range of our temporary tyre until we found one open (Vapo Pneus, south of Beaune) Naomi helped us make the calls as our French is very limited! It felt like a miracle to be on the road again by midday on Sunday and we are so grateful to Naomi for all her kindness and help, she went above and beyond and saved our very special holiday with our extended family.

Reception staff were welcoming. The hotel and grounds were clean and comfortable. Rooms had everything we needed and the breakfast was lovely. We ate at the hotel in the evening and the food was very good quality, delicious and well presented. There is a park area next to the hotel which was great for our dog. The hotel was easy to find off the motorway with secure parking. The pool area looked great but sadly it was raining so we couldn't use it. Highly recommend.

The 4 persons room is big enough and had a cot for our baby. They replied swiftly to our e-mails regarding check-in time, when it was unclear from the booking website

Hotel with secure compound which is safe for motorcycles. Food at dinner and breakfast good and bar is welcoming. Highly rate this hotel for travelers going south, and if your in to wine it is a great town for it! Go visit the amzing nearby Chateau and museum of planes, cars and bikes at Savigny les Beaune.

Good quasi 4* hotel, convenient location, with excellent free parking, quiet, modern design (but some design features naff - eg weird support pillars conical'ish, should not have separate wc from shower room). Bathroom 'saloon style' twin doors too near bed, odd design. All 4* hotels should have full size bath and shower (but if wc separate must have a wash hand basin in wc !). The twit who designed the bedroom/bathroom/wc layout should go back to basic design school ! The restaurant meal we had on arrival was very poor - food only just warm, frites soft, cool, undercooked, no sauce, very basic etc. No excuses - chef/restaurant manager needs replacing. But breakfast excellent - but why not have boiling/hot water tureen for boiling eggs ? Really disappointing and expensive. for only one night stay .
